Sibiu International Airport

Being an important air traffic point in the geographical centre of Romania, SIBIU International Airport records a passenger traffic level and a modern and performant material and technical base that ranks the airport among the first Romanian airports .

These premises have led to the expansion and modernization of Sibiu International Airport in recent years. Since 2006, the air traffic level registered an unprecedented growth due to the new status of the city : “Sibiu – European Capital 2007”, but also due to the local influx of foreign investments.

SIBIU International Airport is located 5,5 km west from the city centre of Sibiu. The improving and modernization of the airport was broadly finished in 2008. The SIBIU airport’s facilities consist of one terminal with two main buildings (occasionally considered to be separate terminals). These buildings are the Passenger Hall (Terminal) and the Administrative Hall. The Terminal is organized in two passenger transit flows (domestic and international) and it has 7 gates.

Over time, hundreds of thousands of passengers have crossed the threshold of SIBIU International Airport to various destinations worldwide. SIBIU International Airport enlists among its partners prestigious companies, Romanian and international. The representatives of the airport remain open to partnerships with new airlines globally; the exceptional ratio between cost and quality of SIBIU International Airport is what airline companies should be encouraged to consider as premises of their election.
