Strategies for the development of digital logistics and smart logistics environments include the development and implementation of CPS based solutions. The expertise of the Expert Group for Material Handling Engineering and Systems (MFT) incorporates radio and image-based technologies for identification and localisation as also their integration into application focused IT solutions. Monitoring functionalities based on the integration of sensor technologies into logistics and production environments therefor create smart logistics zones.
